Tobacco or Health Programme

UNACOH has been very actively involved in Tobacco or Health (ToH) activities since 1996, when she was represented at a pre-FCTC workshop in Ottawa, Canada. Thereafter UNACOH under the aegis of WFPHA was involved in the FCTC formulation and enactment process.

UNACOH on behalf of Tobacco or Health Forum started Tobacco or Health seed activities in the 16 Districts with UNACOH branches in 2001 with financial support from the American Cancer Society. District Tobacco task forces were formed in the district branches.

UNACOH has contributed to promote No tobacco activities, including an FCTC workshop for Parliamentarians in May 2005.
